Brief Description:
Honeypot provides long term support for very vulnerable children and young carers throughout their childhood, from 5 - 12 years. Honeypot support their social development through respite care and a programme of long term support including the Honeypot play bus.
The playbus forms part of the outreach services, visiting children in need in their local communities. The purpose of the playbus is to provide a place for children who experience similar difficulties and deprivation in their lives to meet, play and socialise in an non-judgmental, safe and therapeutic environment.
Outcomes:
Honeypot allows children to be children again; to learn to play in a nurturing environment and to make new friends. When children participate in Honeypot activities, they forget their worries and when they get home, they have an inner strenght, are more confident and more able to cope.
