Statement on Press Reports - 13th of Jan, 2010
End Child Poverty would like to comment on recent inaccurate speculation in the press about a mis-reported financial crisis. We are reviewing, as does every organisation, our strategy and future planning moving forward. This is in consultation with both our board and our membership.
Our current focus is on the passage of the Child Poverty Bill and its progress through the House of Lords - public support is now more important than ever.
We feel this message has been lost amongst negative press speculation and the timing is disappointing for those that do understand and have worked tirelessly to support the child poverty agenda.
The End Child Poverty Coalition has a small team with extremely limited capacity and we are proud of all that we continue to achieve with the support of our membership
Our commitment and that of our members to help the 4 million children suffering poverty in the UK is unconditional. We intend to continue working with our partners in some capacity to continue the fight against child poverty.
