
Many of our member organisations will be getting in touch with their contacts about the Keep the Promise event on Saturday, October 4th over the summer. As well as attending this event there are other ways to support the members of the Campaign to End Child Poverty.
Barnardo’s
Barnardo’s have just relaunched their poverty microsite - www.barnardos.org.uk/childpoverty - which contains information about the reality of child poverty in the UK including findings from Barnardo’s research, what Barnardo’s is doing to tackle this issue, and how you can take action. There is information for Barnardo’s supporters about ECP’s vital Keep the Promise rally on Saturday 4 October, as well as other upcoming events such as Will Hutton delivering a lecture on social mobility on Monday 13 October.

Why do the Young Pay More? a new report from Rainer highlights the high levels of debt and financial exclusion now experienced by young people and young adults. The report draws on primary research from YouGov and a series of focus groups and interviews across England. Friday May 9th CHILD POVERTY: THE CHALLENGE OF MEETING 2010

Every Disabled Child Matters
This is a campaign to get rights and justice for every disabled child. It is a campaign by four national organisations working with disabled children - Contact a Family, the Council for Disabled Children, Mencap and the Special Education Consortium. One of the key objectives for Every Disabled Child Matters is to make sure that the government's child poverty targets are met for families with disabled children.
